Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-15g Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, disperses Cold, stops pain due to Blood Stasis, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
With Tao Ren and Hong Hua, for pain, swelling and other symptoms associated with Blood Stasis.
With Gan Cao, moderates spasms and relieves abdominal pain.
Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 2-15g Breaks up Blood Stasis and invigorates Blood circulation.
With Hong Hua, Chuan Shan Jia and Da Huang, for External and sports injuries with bleeding and pain.
Flos Carthami Hong Hua 2-9g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, opens the channels, unblocks menstruation and alleviates pain.
With Tao Ren, invigorates the Blood for all types of Blood Stagnation.
Squama Manitis Chuan Shan Jia 2-9g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, reduces swelling, promotes the discharge of pus and expels Wind-Dampness from the channels.
Wine-prepared Rx. et Rz. Rhei Jiu Xi Da Huang 3-30g Drains Fire Clears Heat, transforms Dampness, promotes urination, invigorates the Blood and dispels Blood Stasis.
With Dang Gui, for Blood Stasis.
Rx. Trichosanthis Tian Hua Fen 3-15g Relieves toxicity, expels pus and reduces swelling.
Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 5-15g Spreads Liver Qi and relieves Stagnation.
With Bai Shao, for Liver Blood Deficiency with Liver Qi Stagnation.
With Gan Cao, for hepatitis and upper right quadrant pain.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 2-6g Moderates spasms, alleviates pain and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy.
  • If this formula leads to diarrhea without a complete cure, use a different formula.
  • Contraindicated for those who are weak and deficient.
  • Use with caution for those with Spleen Deficiency.

NOTES

  • Loose stools following administration of this formula is a positive sign. Once loose stools and a diminution of the pain have occurred, discontinue use of the formula.
