- Violet is an old folk remedy that has become standard in many modern Chinese herb formulas to treat Heat and toxins.
- Apply externally to drain abscesses.
- This herb is said to treat tuberculosis and cancer.
- Both Zi Hua Di Ding and Hb. Taraxaci Pu Gong Ying are bitter, cold, resolve toxicity and treat Yang type sores and toxic swellings. Zi Hua Di Ding cools the Blood and excels at resolving toxicity and is more effective in treating deep-set toxic sores and carbuncles. It also assists in then treatment of snakebite. Pu Gong Ying excels at descending and dispersing stagnant Qi and is particularly effective at treating breast abscesses.
