Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen 3-9g Tonifies Qi and strengthens the Spleen and Stomach.
With Bai Zhu, tonifies the transformation and transportation functions of the Spleen.
With Bai Zhu, Zhi Gan Cao and Fu Ling, for Spleen and Stomach Qi Deficiencies with Dampness with anorexia, diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal distention and fatigue.
(Rx. Codonopsis) (Dang Shen) (9-27g) (Tonifies the Middle Jiao and augments Qi. Substitutes for Ren Shen.)
(With Fu Ling, for Spleen and Stomach Deficiencies with fatigue, a sensation of fullness in the abdomen, dizziness, lethargy, shortness of breath, anorexia and loose stools or diarrhea.)
Rz. Atractylodis Macrocephalae Bai Zhu 4-9g Strengthens the Spleen, augments Qi and dries Dampness.
With Fu Ling and Dang Shen, for Deficiency Cold of the Middle Jiao with abdominal pain, distention, vomiting and diarrhea.
With Fu Ling and Zhi Gan Cao, for Spleen and Stomach Qi Deficiencies.

Poria Fu Ling 4-9g Dries Dampness, strengthens the Spleen and moderates the drying nature of Zhi Gan Cao.

Rx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata Zhi Gan Cao 1.5-6g Harmonizes, warms and strengthens the Middle Jiao and moderates the draining properties of Fu Ling.

Per. Citri Reticulatae Chen Pi 2.4-6g Circulates Qi, dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm, tonifies the Spleen, adjusts the Middle and helps prevent Stagnation from tonic herbs.
With Bai Zhu, for manifestations of Damp-Obstruction due to Spleen Deficiency.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for a stifling sensation in the chest and cough with excessive white, viscous sputum due to Phlegm-Damp Obstruction.
With Sha Ren, for Dampness Obstructing the Spleen's transforming and transporting functions with reduced intake of food, diarrhea, belching, nausea, and a stifling sensation in the epigastrium due to Disharmony of the Stomach Qi, vomiting of unadulterated, or scanty but viscous fluids and assists digestion of greasy tonic herbs.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 3-9g Dries Dampness, resolves Phlegm, harmonizes the Stomach, descends Rebellious Qi and stops vomiting.
With Chen Pi, for Stomach Qi Disharmony with epigastric and abdominal distention or pain.
With Fu Ling, expels Phlegm and stops nausea and vomiting, hiccoughs, coughs with clear, profuse Phlegm and loose, watery stools, treats Phlegm, thin mucus and turbid Dampness and prevents turbid Phlegm and Dampness from disturbing the Heart with dizziness, palpitations and insomnia.
