Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang 1-15g Purges and drains Fire and treats upper body bleeding.
With Huang Lian and Huang Qin, drains Heat from the San Jiao mainly through the stool.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 1-9g Drains Fire, dries Dampness, clears Heart and Stomach Fire and stops bleeding.
With Huang Qin, drains Heat from the Upper and Middle Jiaos.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 1-12g Drains Fire, dries Dampness, detoxifies and stops bleeding.

  • Contraindicated during pregnancy.
  • Contraindicated during nursing.
