  4. It can be applied topically as a powder, for external bleeding due to cuts, chronic non-healing wounds or chapped skin of the fingers, toes or anus.
  5. Both Bai Ji and Cacumen Platycladi Ce Bai Ye restrain and stop bleeding. Ce Bai Ye's restraining power is weaker that Bai Ji's however it has a stronger ability to expel Phlegm and stop cough.
  6. Bai Ji, Hb. Agrimoniae Xian He Cao, and Fol. Callicarpae Formosanae Zi Zhu all restrain and inhibit bleeding. Bai Ji is the strongest, Xian He Cao is next, and Zi Zhu is the weakest. In terms of cooling Heat, Zi Zhu is the strongest, Bai Ji is next and Xian He Cao is the weakest.
  7. Bletilla Powder Bai Ji Fen or Bai Ji Mo is more easily administered and can be used as a stand-alone herb for hemoptysis due to Lung Heat. It is thought that taking the powder orally id more effective for stopping bleeding than in decoction.
