CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy.
  • Use caution with patients with atopic conditions such as eczema or a history of liver disease.
  • Use caution for those with poor Liver function.
  • Use caution for those with Deficiency Cold.

  • Counteracts Rx. Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae Bei Xie.
  • Counteracts Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng.
  • Counteracts Poria Fu Ling.

  1. 1. This herb expels Damp-Heat accumulated in the blood vessels of the muscles and flesh.
  2. It also stops itch.
  3. It takes Heat out through the urine.
  4. It is particularly indicated for Lower Jiao Damp-Heat and itching Damp-Heat skin disorders.
  5. One source says that this herb clears the senses.
  6. This herb has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
  7. It is said that this is an essential herb for jaundice and Wind Bi.
  8. It is also said to remove Stagnation clear the channels.
  9. For ulcerated scrofula with pus and Blood, take 40ml of the decocted herb.
  10. Both Bai Xian Pi and Rx. Sophorae Flavescentis Ku Shen eliminate Damp-Heat from the Lower Jiao and the skin and both promote urination Ku Shen also Expels Wind and kills parasites and therefore is better at treating itching and vaginal discharge. Bai Xian Pi is better for Wind-Damp-Bi or Damp-Bi with Heat signs.
