Rz. Gastrodiae Tian Ma 6-9g Extinguishes Wind, calms the Liver, stops spasms and tremors and subdues rising Liver Yang.
With Gou Teng and Shi Jue Ming, calms the Liver and extinguishes Wind.
Ram. Uncariae cum Uncis Gou Teng 6-15g Extinguishes Wind, stops spasms, drains Liver Heat and pacifies Liver Yang.
With Tian Ma, calms the Liver and extinguishes Wind.
Concha Haliotidis Shi Jue Ming 3-24g Drains Fire, descends Yang and calms internal Wind.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 3-9g Clears Heat and cools and activates Blood.
With Huang Qin, clears Heat and drains Fire preventing Heat from rising through the Liver channel.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 6-9g Drains Fire and calms ascending Liver Yang.
With Zhi Zi, powerfully clears and drains lurking Heat from the Lungs with fever, fullness in the chest, cough with yellow sputum and epistaxis or hematemesis.
Hb. Leonuri Yi Mu Cao 6-12g Invigorates the Blood preventing Blood from rising to the head with rising Liver Yang.
Rx. Cyathulae Chuan Niu Xi 6-12g Invigorates and descends Blood and expels Wind.
With Du Zhong and Sang Ji Sheng, tonifies and nourishes the Liver and Kidneys.
Cx. Eucommiae Du Zhong 6-12g Tonifies the Kidneys and Liver, aids the smooth flow of Qi and Blood and lowers Blood pressure.
Hb. Taxilli Sang Ji Sheng 6-24g Nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin, nourishes Blood and treats hypertension.
Caul. Polygoni Multiflori Ye Jiao Teng 6-30g Nourishes Heart Yin, nourishes Blood, calms the Shen and unblocks the channels.
With Fu Shen, calms the Shen and steadies the will.
Scl. Poriae Pararadicis Fu Shen 3-15g Pacifies the Heart, calms the Shen and soothes the nerves.
