CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated for those with no symptoms of Heat and Dampness.
  • Long-term use or a large dose may create nausea, and/or vomiting and dizziness.
  • Use caution for deficient patients with bleeding and Blood Stasis.
  • Use caution for those with Spleen and Stomach Deficiency Cold.
  • Avoid using during pregnancy and while breast feeding.
  • This herb must be combined with appropriate herbs for use with deficient patients.

As an herbal wash for hair loss.

  1. This herb is widely used. It is one of the most common herbs to stop bleeding.
  2. It can be used alone, topically as a powder for burns.
  3. It can be used alone, topically as a paste for External bleeding.
  4. Some sources say that this herb is a Blood Invigorator and is used to treat Blood Stagnation, primarily when Qi and Blood Stagnation appear together.
  5. Soak in 60% alcohol and apply the tincture for seven days for hair loss and/or itchy scalp.
  6. Both Ce Bai Ye and Hb. Ecliptae Mo Han Lian cool the Blood, stop bleeding, promote hair growth and blacken hair. Ce Bai Ye governs hair growth when Blood Heat is the cause of hair loss, while Mo Han Lian nourishes Yin and treat hair loss related to Kidney and Liver Deficiencies.
  7. Both Ce Bai Ye and Rx. Sanguisorbae Di Yu are bitter, and cold and stop bleeding due to Heat. Ce Bai Ye also transforms Phlegm, stops cough and generates hair growth while Di Yu is colder and resolves toxicity.
  8. Charred Biota Leaves Ce Bai Tan are less cold, but have an enhance ability to stop bleeding to treat both Hot and Cold bleeding disorders and are less harmful to the Spleen.
  9. Fresh Biota Leaves Xian Ce Bai Ye also clear and resolve toxicity and are applied topically for burns or decocted and applied topically for Heat Bi.
