Cornu Rhinoceri Xi Jiao 2-9g Clears Heat from the Ying, clears the Heart, calms the Spirit, cools Blood and breaks up Stasis.
 With Sheng Di Huang for Blood Heat.
(Cornu Bubali) (Shui Niu Jiao) (15-120g) (Substitute for Xi Jiao.)
Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 3-15g Clears Heat cools the Blood, nourishes Yin, drains Fire and relieves toxicity.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Cools the Blood and nourishes Yin.
Tb. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 3-10g Nourishes Yin generates Fluids, clears the Heart and eliminates irritability.
Flos Lonicerae Jin Yin Hua 3-30g Clears Heat, relieves toxicity and cools the Blood.
 With Lian Qiao, Huang Lian, and Dan Zhu Ye, clears Qi Stage Heat and detoxifies.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 2-15g Clears Heat, relieves toxicity and clears Blood Heat.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 1-10g Drains Fire, relieves toxicity and clears Heart Fire
With Sheng Di Huang for insomnia and delirium due to unremitting Heat injuring the Ying level
Rx. Salviae Miltiorrhizae Dan Shen 2-6g Assists in cooling the Blood and prevents Stasis.
