Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 4-9g Clears Heat and dries Dampness.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 3-9g Astringes Yin, adjusts the Ying and Wei, softens the Liver and relieves pain.
With Zhi Gan Cao, for a
bdominal pain due to disharmony between the Liver and Stomach and epigastric, hypochondriac or flank pain.
With Huang Qin, for dysenteric disorders with abdominal pain due to Heat entering the Interior.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata Zhi Gan Cao 3g Moderates spasms, alleviates pain and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Bai Shao and Huang Qin, for abdominal pain and dysenteric diarrhea from Damp-Heat.
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 4-12g Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, augments Qi and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated for those with initial stages of diarrhea or dysentery with pronounced Exterior symptoms.
  • Contraindicated for those with dysentery due to Cold, Dampness or Deficiency.
  • Avoid foods that are spicy, oily or greasy while taking this formula.
