POINT: DU-18 (GOVERNING VESSEL -18)

NAME: QIANGJIAN

English: Unyielding Space
Also Known As: Between Strength

LOCATION:

  • 4 cun directly above the midpoint of the posterior hairline, 1.5 cun above to DU-17 Naohu.
  • At the back of the head on the midline, 1.5 cun superior to DU-17 Naohu, midway between DU-16 Fengfu and DU-20 Baihui.

NEEDLING:

  • Puncture subcutaneously 0.3 - 0.5 cun
  • Moxibustion is applicable.
  • Transverse insertion, 0.5 - 1 cun.

  • Headache
  • Neck stiffness with an inability to turn the head

  • Mad walking
