Per. Cit Reticulatae Chen Pi 3-9g Regulates Qi, adjusts the Middle, relieves the diaphragm, Dries Dampness and transforms Phlegm.
With Qing Pi, for flank pain and chest and abdominal distention due to Liver Qi Stagnation.
Per. Citri Reticulatae Viride Qing Pi 3-10g Spreads Liver Qi, breaks up Stagnant Qi, dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm and dissipates accumulations.
With Xiang Fu, for pain and distention of the flanks due to Liver Qi Stagnation.
With San Leng and E Zhu, for masses where prolonged Qi Stagnation has led to Blood Stagnation.
Rz. Cyperi Xiang Fu 6-14g Spreads and regulates Liver Qi, regulates menstruation and alleviates pain.
Rz. Sparganii San Leng 3-10g Forcefully breaks up Blood Stasis, regulates Qi, dissolves accumulations, regulates menstruation and alleviates pain.
Rz. Curcumae E Zhu 3-10g Invigorates Blood circulation, dispels Blood Stasis, regulates Qi, dissolves accumulations and alleviates pain.
With Qing Pi, for stagnant Qi with chest and abdominal fullness and pain.
With San Leng, for Qi and Blood Stagnation with clumping and accumulation leading to pain with distending pain in the chest, epigastrium and abdomen, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, uterine myoma and ovarian cysts.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 3-10g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi and expels Phlegm.
With Gan Cao, disseminates Lung Qi and expels Phlegm.
Sm. Alpiniae Katsumadai Cao Dou Kou 1.5-7g Dries Dampness, warms the Middle Jiao, stops vomiting and strengthens the Spleen.
Hb. Agastaches/ Pogostemonis Huo Xiang 3-10g Aromatically transforms Dampness and harmonizes the Middle Jiao.
Cx. Cinnamomi Rou Gui 1.5-5g Disperses deep Cold, warms and unblocks the channels and vessels and alleviates pain.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 3-6g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
