  • On the medial side of the foot, in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone.
    Note: first locate SP-3 Taibai, then slide proximally along the shaft of the first metatarsal bone until it reaches the depression at the base of the bone (approximately 1 cun).
  • In the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone, at the junction of the red and white skin.
  • On the medial aspect of the foot, at the anterior, inferior margin of the first metatarsus, one cun behind the joint of the big toe.
  • Approximately 1 cun posterior to SP-3 Taibai, in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the first metatarsal bone, at the junction of the red and white skin.
  • Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
  • Puncture perpendicularly 0.5 to 0.8 cun.
  • Moxibustion is applicable.
