- On the medial aspect of the upper arm, 3 cun the end of the axillary fold on the radial side of the m. biceps brachii.
Note: this point is located where the nose touches the arm. - On the anterio-lateral aspect of the upper arm, 3 cun inferior to the axillary fold and 6 cun superior to LU-5 Chize, in the depression between the lateral border of the biceps brachii muscle and the shaft of the humerus.
Note: divide the distance between the axillary fold and the cubital crease of the elbow into thirds. This point is at the junction of the upper and middle thirds.
- Puncture perpendicularly 0.5 to 1 cun.
- Perpendicular insertion 0.5 to 1 cun.
- Straight insertion 1 to 1.5 cun.
