Rx. Angelica Pubescentis Du Huo 10-11g Releases the Exterior, dispels Wind-Cold-Dampness, opens the channels, vitalizes vessels and stops pain.
With Qin Jiao, expels Wind-Cold-Damp, relieves arthralgia and stops pain.
Rx. Gentianae Macrophyllae Qin Jiao 10-11g Clears Heat, expels Wind-Dampness, relaxes sinews, clears Deficiency Heat and resolves Dampness - good for cramps in the limbs.
Rx. Clematidis Wei Ling Xian 10-11g Dispels Wind-Dampness, opens the channels, alleviates pain, reduces Phlegm and dispels Dampness - good for swelling, arthralgia with numbness and spasms.
Rx. Stephaniae Tetrandrae Han Fang Ji 8-10g Expels Wind-Dampness, alleviates pain and promotes urination.

Fr. Chaenomelis Mu Gua 8-10g Relaxes sinews (increases Qi and Blood circulation), opens the channels and transforms Dampness - good for lower back and extremities.
Caulis Trachelospermi Luo Shi Teng 9-10g Dispels Wind-Dampness and opens channels.
Cx. Eucommiae Du Zhong 8-10g Tonifies the Kidneys and Liver, strengthens the sinews and bones and circulates Qi and Blood.
Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 9-10g Strengthens the Spleen, tonifies Qi, consolidates Wei Qi, stabilizes the Exterior and nourishes Blood.
With Zhi Gan Cao, strengthens Qi and consolidates Wei.
With Gui Zhi, for Qi and Blood Deficiencies and Ying and Wei Deficiencies with numbness and painful obstruction of the musculature.

With Qin Jiao, for Wind Dampness Bi with spasms of the tendons or numbness of the limbs and pain due to Wind-Dampness in patients with Blood Deficiency.
Ram. Cinnamomi Gui Zhi 9-10g Releases external Wind-Cold from the muscle layer., harmonizes the Ying and Wei, warms the channels and collaterals, relieves pain, disperse, Cold, unblocks Yang, transforms the Qi, warms and facilitates the flow of Yang Qi in the chest and warms and facilitates the flow of Blood through the vessels.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated for those with Damp-Heat.
HERB/DRUG INTERACTIONS
  • This formula has its most predominant action on Dampness.
With aversion to Cold and a cold body: For severe pain:
+ 5g Cx. Cinnamomi Rou Gui + 5g Scorpio Quan Xie
+ 6g Rx. Aconiti Lateralis Preparata Zhi Fu Zi + 10g Zaocys Wu Shao She
For fixed, stabbing pain or pain which is worse at night:
+ 5g Flos Carthami Hong Hua
+ 6g Olibanum Ru Xiang
For weakness:
+ 6g Myrrh Mo Yao + 6g Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen
