Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 6g Clears Heat in the Qi Stage, drains Fire, relieves irritability, quenches thirst and clears Excess Heat from the Lungs.
With Huang Qin, Huang Lian and Huang Bai, for toxic Heat with infection.
Rx. Ephedrae Ma Huang 9g Induces sweating and releases the Exterior.
With Shi Gao, for cough from Heat Obstructing the Lungs with wheezing, flaring of the nostrils and fever.
Sm. Sojae Preparata Dan Dou Chi 9g Releases the Exterior, eliminates irritability, harmonizes the Middle Jiao and relieves stuffy sensations in the chest.
With Zhi Zi, for insomnia and irritability due to Wind-Heat, Exterior Heat as it first enters the interior and late-stage residual Heat trapped in the chest and diaphragm with irritability, restlessness, headache, stifling sensation in the chest, vexation, insomnia, expression of rashes and nausea.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 6g Drains Fire and resolves Fire toxicity.
With Huang Qin, for drains pathogenic Heat from the Upper and Middle Jiaos for high fever, redness, swelling and pain of the head and face, dry mouth, parched throat, ulcerations of the mouth and tongue, epistaxis, rashes and irritability in warm-febrile disease.
With Huang Qin and Zhi Zi, for High fever, irritability, dry mouth and throat, and dark urine due to Fire toxin in the three burners.
With Zhi Zi and Shi Gao, for Ying Stage Heat with delirium and loss of consciousness.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 6g Drains Fire and detoxifies.
With Zhi Zi, powerfully clears and drains lurking Heat from the Lungs with fever, fullness in the chest, cough with yellow sputum and epistaxis or hematemesis.
With Huang Lian and Zhi Zi, for acute febrile disease.
With Huang Lian, Zhi Zi and Huang Bai, for lesions and sores with redness, swelling and pain.
Cx. Phellodendri Huang Bai 6g Drains Fire and relieves Fire toxicity.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 6-9g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability, cools the Blood and relieves toxicity.
