Fr. Chebulae He Zi 3-10g Astringes and descends Lung Qi, stops cough and improves the condition of the throat.
With Gan Cao, for a hoarse voice.
Galla Chinensis Wu Bei Zi 1.5-7g Astringes Lung Qi, stops cough and cools Deficiency Fire.
With Wu Wei Zi, for cough at dusk due to Yin Deficiency Fire Blazing upward and irritating the Lungs.
Fr. Schisandrae Wu Wei Zi 1.5-9g Astringes Lung Qi, stops cough, astringes sweat, generates fluids, tonifies the Kidneys and astringes Jing.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 3-18g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire, detoxifies, cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 1.5-14g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
Mel Feng Mi 15-30g Nourishes the Lung and stops cough.
