Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 15g Resolves Shao Yang disorders, reduces fever, spreads Liver Qi and relieves Stagnation.
With Huang Qi, restores normal function of the Liver and Gallbladder.
With Zhi Ban Xia and Huang Qin, for Shao Yang disorders with alternating chills and fever and a sensation of fullness in the hypochondria and chest.
With Long Dan Cao and Zhi Zi, for Excess Heat in the Liver and/or Gallbladder channels.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 15g Clears Heat, dries Dampness and calms ascending Liver Yang.
With Zhi Zi, for Damp-Heat and jaundice.
With Zhi Zi, Yin Chen Hao and Da Huang, for Damp-Heat with jaundice.
With Chai Hu, for Heat in the Shao Yang with alternating chills and fever and nausea.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 9g Dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm, descends Rebellious Qi and stops vomiting.

Hb. Artemisiae Scopariae Yin Chen Hao 30g Clears Damp-Heat from the Liver and Gallbladder and relieves jaundice.
With Zhi Zi, strongly relieves Damp-Heat jaundice.
With Da Huang, for early-Stage Damp-Heat jaundice when Heat is stronger than Dampness.
With Zhi Zi and Da Huang, for Damp-Heat jaundice with abdominal distention, fever, constipation, and urinary dysfunction and gallstones.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 9g Clears Heat, reduces Fire. eliminates irritability and drains Damp-Heat.
With Yin Chen Hao and Da Huang, for jaundice due to Damp-Heat in the Liver/Gallbladder.
With Lian Qiao, for Heat in the Heart channel with sores in the mouth or on the tongue and dark, scanty urine or urinary discomfort.
With Da Huang, for constipation.

With Zhi Zi, Huang Qin, Lian Qiao and Mang Xiao, for strong pathogenic Heat in the Upper and Middle Jiaos.
Natrii Sulfas Mang Xiao 9g Purges accumulations, guides out Stagnation, clears Heat and drains Fire.
With Da Huang, for constipation due to Heat in the Stomach and Intestines.
