With Zhi Ban Xia, for vomiting, cough, wheezing and epigastric distention due to congested fluids.
With Zhi Ban Xia and Xi Xin for coughing and wheezing due to Cold and Phlegm attacking the Lungs.
With Sheng Jiang, Zhi Ban Xia and Ma Huang, for Accumulation of Phlegm with Exterior conditions
Rx. Peucedani Qian Hu 6-10g Expels Phlegm, descends Qi and expels Wind.
With Chai Hu, for Wind-Heat constraining the Lungs, leading to a stifling sensation in the chest and cough with profuse sputum.
Sm. Sinapis Bai Jie Zi 6g Warms the Lungs, regulates Qi and expels Phlegm.
Hb. Asari Xi Xin 3g Releases exterior Wind and Cold, disperses Internal Cold, warms the Lungs and transforms Phlegm.
With Ma Huang, alleviates cough and wheezing due to Phlegm caused by Wind-Cold.

Rx. Stemonae Bai Bu 9g Stops cough and moistens the Lungs.
With Chuan Bei Mu, for cough and chest pain due to Phlegm Heat.
Bul. Fritillariae Cirrhosae Chuan Bei Mu 3g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, stops cough and nourishes and moistens the Lung.
With Xing Ren, for cough and wheezing with copious sputum, wheezing and cough from externally contracted Lung disorders, non-productive cough from Lung Deficiency disorders and coughing of thick, yellow sputum due to Phlegm-Fire.
Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Zhi Ban Xia 6-10g Dries Dampness, transforms Phlegm and Descends Rebellious Qi.
