With Gui Ban, it is made into a glue to tonify Yin and Yang.
Plastrum Testudinis Gui Ban 9-45g Nourishes Yin, anchors Yang, benefits the Kidneys, strengthens the bones and nourishes the Blood.
With Zhi Mu, Huang Bai and Sheng Di Huang, for afternoon fever, night sweats, and steaming bone disorder due to Yin Deficiency.
With Liu Jiao Jiao, for weakness and debility due to Kidney Deficiency.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.

Rx. Dipsaci Xu Duan 6-21g Tonifies the Liver and Kidneys, strengthens and reconnects the sinews and bones, promotes the movement of Blood, alleviates pain and generates flesh.
With Du Zhong and Niu Xi, for deficient Kidneys or Cold-Damp Bi causing low back and leg pain and weakness, and contracture of the leg muscles.
Sm. Cuscutae Tu Si Zi 6-18g Strengthens Yang, nourishes Yin, astringes Jing and urine, benefits the marrow and tonifies the Kidneys and Liver.
With Du Zhong, enriches and tonifies the Kidneys and Liver, astringes Jing, nourishes Kidney Yin, brightens the eyes and encourages the movement of Primal Yang to treat spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation and lower back pain from Kidney Deficiency.
Cx. Eucommiae Du Zhong 8-16g Tonifies the Kidneys and Liver, strengthens the sinews and bones, aids the smooth flow of Qi and Blood and tonifies Kidney Yang.
With Xu Duan, tonifies the Liver and Kidneys, strengthens the lower back and secures the Chong and Ren channels to treat aching in the lower back and knees, weakness of the legs which makes walking difficult and especially threatened miscarriage due to instability of the Chong and Ren channels.
