Rx. Asparagi Tian Men Dong 5-15g Nourishes Kidney Yin, clears Lung Heat, sedates Fire, moistens the Lungs, nourishes the Kidneys, generates fluids and resolves Phlegm.
With Mai Men Dong, for Dry cough, thirst, and other symptoms due to Yin Deficiency and injured fluids.
Caulis Bambusae In Taeniam Zhu Ru 6-10g Clears Heat, transforms Hot Phlegm, cools the Blood, stops bleeding and stops vomiting.

With Sheng Jiang, for vomiting and hiccups due to Disharmony of the Stomach Qi.

Bul. Fritillariae Cirrhosae Chuan Bei Mu 3-12g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, stops cough and nourishes and moistens the Lungs.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 3-12g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability, drains Damp-Heat Cools the Blood and relieves toxicity.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 3-10g Releases the Exterior, induces perspiration,
isperses Cold, warms the Middle, stops vomiting, warms the Lungs, stops cough, normalizes the flow of Qi at the center and reduces the toxicity of other herbs.
With Da Zao, alleviates epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting by strengthening the Spleen.
With Zhu Ru, for vomiting due to Heat in patients with Stomach Qi Deficiency.
Poria Fu Ling 9-18g Promotes urination, leaches out Dampness, strengthens the Spleen and harmonizes the Middle Jiao.
With Gan Cao, for Spleen and Heart Deficiency causing facial edema, palpitations, and shortness of breath.

With Gan Cao and Huang Qin, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity and expels pus for productive cough with hoarseness and pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat and Lung abscess with expectoration of pus and pain in the chest and flanks.
