  1. The ripe fruit is used for thirst, cough, and spitting blood.
  2. Persimmon Frost Shi Shuang, (Kaki Cake Shi Shuang Bing) is sweet, cool and moist, enters the Lung and Heart channels and treats dry cough from Lung heat dry sore throat, dry mouth, tongue ulcers, spitting blood, hematemesis, hematuria, hernia, wasting and thirsting and dysentery.
  3. The Kaki saccharum (the white powder on the cake) is used for dry cough, dry throat, thirst and spitting blood.
  4. The Kaki Siccatus succus (the extracted juice of the unripe fruit) is used for hypertension, bleeding, hemorrhoids and constipation.
  5. The ripe fruit is eaten for thirst, cough and spitting of Blood.
