NOTES

  1. Its main use is for digestive ailments related to ingestion of contaminated food and drink (Summerheat), summer colds and alcoholic intoxication.
  2. It may help treat diabetes.
  3. This herb can be used alone to treat poultry poisoning, calomel poisoning or powdered for arsenic poisoning.
  4. Toast to treat Spleen Deficiency.
  5. Lablab Testa Bian Dou Yi is the dried capsule of the hyacinth bean. It regulates the function of the Stomach and Spleen when diarrhea occur in the summer. Its dosage is 6-12g.
  6. Flos Lablab Bian Dou Hua is the dried flower of the hyacinth bean. It relieves Summerheat, removes Dampness and controls bleeding and is used to treat dysentery, diarrhea and leukorrhea. Its dosage is 6-12g.
