CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy.
  • Contraindicated for those with menorrhagia.
  • Contraindicated for those without Blood Stasis.
  • Contraindicated for those whose lochia has been cleared.
  • Contraindicated for those with abdominal pain due to Blood Deficiency.
  • Extremely large doses can cause coma and death.
  • Do not store in an iron container.

  2. This is the heart wood of the Caesalpinia Sappan.
  3. Some sources say that this herb opens the channels and reduces inflammation.

  5. Both Su Mu and Flos Carthami Hong Hua are similar in their actions. Hong Hua is slightly warm and harmonious while Su Mu is slightly cool.
