CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated for those with Excess pathogenic influences, especially Heat.
  • Contraindicated for those with Blazing Fire from Yin Deficiency with incontinence of urine or spermatorrhea.
  • Overdose or long term use may cause abdominal pain or constipation.

  1. This herb does not tonify and should be combined with tonics when used.
  2. This herb can be used alone for spermatorrhea or nocturnal emissions.
  3. Both Jin Ying Zi and Fr. Corni Shan Zhu Yu are sour and astringent, conserve, hold in and stabilize the Lower Jiao to treat deficient leakage with spermatorrhea, incontinence, and watery vaginal discharge, Shan Zhu Yu strongly tonifies both Jing and Yang Qi, while still retaining the Jing, stopping sweating, supporting collapse and gently stabilizing menstrual bleeding. Jin Ying Zi only stabilizes, it doesn't tonify, but can be used to treat chronic diarrhea which Shan Zhu Yu cannot do.
  4. Honey-prepared Cherokee Rosehip Mi Zhi Jin Ying Zi is both sweet and astringent, tonifies the Middle, astringes the Intestines an treats Spleen Deficiency leading to chronic diarrhea or dysenteric disorders.
  5. Salt-prepared Cherokee Rosehip Yan Jin Ying Zi has a stronger ability to enter the Kidney channel to astringe Jing and urine and stop vaginal discharge.
