Rz. Atractylodes Bai Zhu 4-12g Tonifies the Spleen, tonifies Qi, dries Dampness, stabilizes the Exterior and stops sweat.
Hb. Ephedrae Ma Huang 3-18g Releases the Exterior, disperses Cold, moves Lung Qi, promotes urination and reduces edema.
Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 8-48g Clears Heat, drains Fire and clears Excess Heat from the Lungs.
With Ma Huang, for cough with nasal flaring due to Wind-Heat Obstructing the Lungs.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 3-9g Releases the Exterior, disperses Cold, warms the Middle, and adjusts the Ying and Wei (normalizes the flow of Qi at the center).
With Da Zao, for External Wind-Cold and protects the Stomach Qi.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 2-6g Tonifies the Spleen, tonifies Qi, alleviates pain and moderates and harmonizes the properties of the other herbs.
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 3-15g Strengthens the Spleen, tonifies Qi, nourishes Blood, calms the Shen and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Sheng Jiang, regulates Disharmony between the Ying and Wei and facilitates digestion and absorption.

For a cough with much Phlegm:

For serious edema:
For a severe aversion to Wind and Cold:

For cold limbs:
