Flos Lonicerae Jin Yin Hua 30g Clears Heat, resolves Fire toxicity, clears Damp-Heat from the Lower Jiao, cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
With Lian Qiao, for various Heat disorders.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 30g Clears Heat, relieves toxicity, reduces abscesses, dissipates clumps and clears Blood Heat.
Hb. Patriniae Bai Jiang Cao 30g Clears Heat, resolves toxicity, expels pus, reduces abscesses and dispels Blood Stasis.
With Jin Yin Hua, for suppurative abscesses.
With Yi Yi Ren, for suppurations due to smoldering Damp-Heat.
With Chi Shao, for abdominal pain and fever due to postpartum Blood Stasis and unsuppurated Intestinal abscess with an immobile abdominal mass.
Caulis Sargentodoxae Hong Teng 30g Clears Heat, resolves toxicity, reduces abscesses, invigorates the Blood, disperses Stasis and stops pain.
With Mu Dan Pi and Lian Qiao, for Intestinal abscess.
Sm. Coicis Yi Yi Ren 12-18g Strengthens the Spleen, clears Damp-Heat and expels pus.
With Mu Dan Pi, Bai Jiang Cao and Tao Ren, for Intestinal abscess.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 9-12g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability, drains Damp-Heat, cools the Blood, relieves toxicity, reduces swelling and activates the Blood.
With Mu Dan Pi, resolves Qi Level Stagnation leading to Heat and Heat in the Blood and treats irregular menstruation, headache, red eyes, and thirst due to Liver Qi Heat from Stagnation.
Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 9-12g Breaks up Blood Stasis, invigorates Blood circulation, moistens the Intestines, unblocks the bowels and drains abscesses.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 9-12g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Heat, cools the Blood, reduces swelling from sores and abscesses and relieves pain.
With Tao Ren, for Blood Stasis induced menstrual disorders, especially those characterized by early period, excessive bleeding, and thick purple clots.
With Ru Xiang, Mo Yao, Jin Yin Hua and Lian Qiao, for pain and swelling associated with boils and abscesses.
With Mu Dan Pi, for Blood Stasis disorders.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 9-12g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, drains pus and reduces swelling.
Rz. Corydalis Yan Hu Suo 9-12g Invigorates the Blood, circulates Qi and stops pain.
Fr. Toosendan Chuan Lian Zi 9-12g Dredges Liver Qi, releases Stagnation, conducts Heat out from below and stops pain.
With Yan Hu Suo, for intermittent epigastric and hypochondriac pain, hernia pain or menstrual pain with irritability due to Liver Stagnation with Heat.
Olibanum Ru Xiang 6-9g Invigorates the Blood, promotes the movement of Qi, reduces swelling, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
With Yan Hu Suo, for chest and abdominal pain.
Myrrh Mo Yao 6-9g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, alleviates pain and reduces swelling.
With Ru Xiang, disseminates and unblocks the organs and dredges the channels and collaterals to treat epigastric, flank, abdominal and joint pain and treats abdominal pain during menstruation and irregular menstruation.
