Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-15g Tonifies Blood, invigorates and harmonizes Blood, disperses Cold and moistens the Intestines.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubrae Chi Shao 15g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, activates Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and eliminates pain.
With Chuan Xiong, for abscess, boils, and trauma induced pain.
Rz. Ligustici Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 12g Activates Blood, regulates Qi, expels Wind-Cold and alleviates pain.
Rx. Asparagi Tian Men Dong 9g Nourishes Yin and nourishes the Kidneys.
With Mai Men Dong, for dry cough, thirst, and other symptoms due to Yin Deficiency and injured fluids.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 6-15g Moistens the Lung, nourishes Stomach Yin, generates fluids, clears the Heart, eliminates irritability and moistens Intestines.
Bombyx Batryticatus Bai Jiang Can 9g Expels Wind and stops itch.
Rx. Polygoni Multiflori He Shou Wu 9-30g Tonifies the Liver and Kidneys, nourishes Blood, nourishes and astringes Jing - stops leakage, relieves Fire Toxin and moistens the Intestines.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 12g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, clears Deficiency Fire, activates Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, clears Liver Fire, drains pus and reduces swelling.
 With Chi Shao, for purpuric rash, hematemesis, and Heat injuring the Ying and Xue levels.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Small coin sized pale red lesions located on the scalp, body, extremities and other areas
  • There is a tightly covered scale
  • Removing the scale reveals a light pink shining membrane
  • Progress of disease is slow
  • New lesions appear sporadically
  • Beneath the membrane are petachiae
  • Chronic patients may see it in any season
  • The lesions heal without scarring
  • There may be nail involvement with stippling or pitting of the nail plate
  • Rarely presents as diffuse redness of the skin covered by fine scales
  • Light-headedness
