Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 5-30g Clears Heat in the Qi Stage, drains Fire, relieves irritability, quenches thirst and clears Blazing Stomach Fire.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 3-10g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability and resolves Dampness.
Dry-fried Rx. Saposhnikoviae Chao Fang Feng 10-120g Releases the exterior, expels External Wind, raises Yang, expels Wind-Dampness and alleviates pain.
Hb. Agastaches/ Pogostemonis Huo Xiang 5-21g Aromatically transforms Dampness, releases the Exterior, dispels Summerheat and transforms turbidity.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 6-90g Clears Heat and relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.

  • Contraindicated for those with Stomach Yin Deficiency.
  • Contraindicated for those with tongue thrusting due to congenital Qi Deficiency.

NOTES

  • Higher doses of Rx. Saposhnikoviae Fang Feng and Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao, may decrease the anti-inflammatory effect of the formula.
  • This formula has shown to reduce fever, relieve inflammation, tranquilize the mind, promote diuresis and promote the secretion of gastric juice.
