Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen 6-9g Tonifies Spleen and Stomach Qi, tonifies Lung Qi and tonifies Qi in Deficiency patients with Exterior conditions.
Hb. Schizonepetae Jing Jie 6-9g Releases the exterior and expels Wind.
With Jie Geng and Gan Cao, for acute cough associated with External disorders.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 6-9g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, benefits the throat and opens and raises Lung Qi, directing the effects of other herbs to the upper body.
With Gan Cao, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity, and expels pus for productive cough with hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat for Lung abscess with expectoration of pus and pain in the chest and flanks and Excess disorders in the Upper Jiao with no disorder in the Lower Jiao.
With He Zi and Gan Cao, for hoarseness and loss of voice.
Fr. Chebulae He Zi 9g Contains leakage of Lung Qi, stops cough and, improves the condition of the throat and descends Lung Qi.
With Gan Cao, for hoarse voice .
Sciaenae Otolithum Yu Nao Shi 6g Dispels Heat, removes toxins, promotes diuresis and smooths urination.
(Hb. Agastaches seu Pogostemmi) (Huo Xiang) (15g) (May substitute for Yu Nao Shi)
Hb. Asari Xi Xin 3g Disperses Wind-Cold and Internal Cold, alleviates pain, warms the Lungs, transforms Phlegm and Thin Mucus and disperses and unblocks the Qi of the nasal orifices.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 3g Tonifies the Spleen, augments Qi, moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
