Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 9g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, drains Fire, relieves toxicity and nourishes the Yin.
With Mai Men Dong and Lian Qiao, for sore, swollen throat from toxicity and Heat.
Plumula Nelumbinis Lian Zi Xin 1.5g Drains Heart Fire and relieves irritability.
With Xuan Shen and Mai Men Dong, for excessive sweating and thirst, irritability, fever, loss of consciousness, and delirium caused by high fever due to Warm febrile disease.
Hb. Lophatheri Dan Zhu Ye 6g Clears Heat and eliminates irritability.
With Lian Zi Xin, for tongue ulcers.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 6g Clears Heat (especially in the Upper Jiao), clears Blood Heat and relieves toxicity.
With Shui Niu Jiao and Lian Zi Xin, for Heat Attacking the Pericardium.
Cornu Bubali Shui Niu Jiao 15-30g Clears Heat from the Ying and Xue stages, relieves Fire toxicity, cools the Blood and stops bleeding.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 9g Moistens the Lungs, nourishes the Yin, stops cough, nourishes the Stomach Yin, generates fluids, clears the Heart and eliminates irritability.
