Rx. Rhapontici Lou Lu 10g Clears Heat, resolves toxicity, drains abscesses and swellings and expels pus.
Fr. Aurantii Zhi Ke 10g Promotes the movement of Qi, reduces distention and pressure and resolves hardenings.
With Sheng Ma, relaxes the bowels and encourages the downward flow of turbid Yin.
Natrii Sulfas Mang Xiao 20g Purges accumulations, guides out Stagnation, softens hardness, moistens Dryness, clears Heat, drains Fire and reduces swelling.
With Da Huang, for constipation due to Heat in the Stomach and Intestines.
Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang 10g Drains Heat, purges accumulations, drains Fire, drains Heat from the Blood, reduces Fire toxicity and eliminates Phlegm.
With Mang Xiao, for abscess, swellings and toxic sores.
Hb. Ephedrae Ma Huang 10g Induces sweating, releases the exterior, disseminates and facilitates Lung Qi and warms and disperses Cold pathogens.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 10g Clears Heat, dries Dampness, drains Fire, detoxifies, cools the Blood, stops bleeding and calms ascending Liver Yang.
With Da Huang, for constipation.
Rx. Ampelopsis Bai Lian 10g Drains Fire, relieves toxicity, eliminates Dampness, resolves Lumps (reduces swelling), relieves pain and generates flesh.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 15g Clears Heat (especially in the Upper Jiao), relieves toxicity, reduces abscesses, dissipates clumps and clears Blood Heat.
Rx. Cimicifugae Sheng Ma 3g Releases the Exterior, clears Heat and relieves toxicity.
With Lian Qiao, Da Huang and Bai Lian, for carbuncles without abscess.
