Calculus Bovis Niu Huang 0.15-1g Clears the Heart, opens the Orifices aromatically, awakens the Spirit, vaporizes Phlegm, clears the Liver and relieves Fire toxicity.
Sm. Crotonis (oil removed) Ba Dou 0.1-0.3g Warmly unblocks, vigorously purges, drives out water, reduces edema and breaks up clogged Phlegm.
With Zhu Sha and Niu Huang, for Phlegm Misting the Orifices.
Cinnabaris Zhu Sha 0.1-2.7g Sedates the Heart, calms the Spirit, expels Phlegm, sedates jitteriness and clears Heat.
Alumen Ming Fan 0.6-1.5g Clears Heat, purges Fire, relieves toxicity and expels Phlegm.
Pulverized Sm. Oryzae Geng Mi 9 to 15g Tonifies the Qi of the Lungs, Spleen and Intestines, stops restlessness, stops thirst and generates fluids.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Use with extreme caution. Vomiting and diarrhea often occur after ingestion.
  • Use Cinnabaris Zhu Sha with extreme caution for those with compromised Liver and Kidney functions. Do not use it in large amounts or for a prolonged period.
