Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 25g Clears Heat, cools the Blood and nourishes Yin and Blood.
Rx. Paeoniae Rubra Chi Shao 10g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, activates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and eliminates pain.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 10g Drains Fire and detoxifies.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 10g Tonifies Blood, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
Poriae Fu Ling 10g Promotes urination, resolves Dampness and harmonizes the Middle Jiao.
Flos Carthami Hong Hua 10g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and alleviates pain.
With Sheng Di Huang, Chi Shao and Lian Qiao, for eye redness, swelling and pain.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 5g Clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity, alleviates pain, moderates and harmonizes the properties of other herbs and is an antidote for many toxic substances.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 5g Reduces the toxicity of other herbs, adjusts the Ying and Wei and normalizes the flow of Qi at the center.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Skin lesion in the center of the face from forehead to chin. especially in the nasal region
  • Initially red spots which occur acutely and transiently
  • May be followed by groups of papules and blisters
  • Blisters may be suppurative
  • Blisters vary in size
  • Red spots lead to capillary dilation
  • Tissues thicken causing hammer nose
  • Erythema
  • Nodulation
