Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 20g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Rx. Trichosanthis Tian Hua Fen 15g Clears and drains Lung Heat, transforms Phlegm, moistens Lung Dryness, relieves toxicity, expels pus and reduces swelling.
Rx. Scutellariae Huang Qin 9g Drains Fire and detoxifies.
With Zhi Zi, powerfully clears and drains lurking Heat from the Lungs with fever, fullness in the chest, cough with yellow sputum and epistaxis or hematemesis.
Fr. Gardeniae Zhi Zi 9g Clears Heat, reduces Fire, eliminates irritability, reduces swelling and activates the Blood.
Cx. Mori Sang Bai Pi 9g Drains Heat from the Lungs, stops cough, calms wheezing, promotes urination and reduces edema.
With Huang Qin, drains Heat from the Lungs, and stops cough and wheezing.
Poria Rubrum Chi Fu Ling 9g Promotes urination and leaches out Dampness
Sm. Armeniacae Xing Ren 9g Stops cough, calms wheezing, moistens the Intestines and unblocks bowels.
Rx. Platycodi Jie Geng 9g Opens the Lungs, spreads Lung Qi, expels Phlegm and benefits the throat.
With Gan Cao and Huang Qin, disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity and expels pus for productive cough with hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 6g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.
With Jie Geng, for pain and swelling of the throat.
