NAME: ERJIAN

LOCATION:

  • At the apex of the ear.
    Note: Fold the auricle, the point is at the apex of the fold.

NEEDLING:

  • Perpendicular insertion 0.1 cun.
  • Puncture perpendicularly 0.1 to 0.2 cun.
  • Prick to bleed.
  • Moxibustion is applicable (3-5 cones).

  • Clears Heat
  • Dissipates swelling
  • Benefits the eyes and throat

INDICATIONS:

  • Redness, swelling and pain of the eyes
  • Superficial visual obstruction
  • Nebula
  • One-sided headache
  • Pain and swelling of the throat
  • Mumps
  • High fever

NOTES:

  • For superficial visual obstruction, use five cones of moxa.
