  1. This herb has been used to treat nose bleeding, bleeding of the uterus, chronic hepatitis, inflammation of the anus and constipation.
  2. One source says that it eliminates parasites and treats scabies, etc. by enhancing the functions of Spleen, Lung and Large Intestine channels.
  3. A small dose inhibits the motility of the Large Intestine while a large dose enhances the motility of the large intestine and creates a laxative effect.
  4. This herb inhibits the growth of cancer cells.
  5. For internal use it is similar to Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang.
  6. The fresh squeezed juice is effective for fungus infection of skin, hemorrhoids, inflammation of the mammary glands and eczema.
  7. Taken internally, it causes diarrhea.
  8. Do not substitute Yang Ti with Da Huang for external use.
  9. For constipation, decoct 8g of Yang Ti and 3g Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao in 300cc of water. Boil down to 150 cc and take orally.
