Rx. Scrophulariae Xuan Shen 7-30g Clears Heat and cools the Blood .
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-15g Tonifies the Blood, invigorates, harmonizes the Blood, disperses Cold and stops pain due to Blood Stasis.
With Tao Ren and Hong Hua, for amenorrhea, pain, swelling and other symptoms associated with Blood Stasis.
Flos Carthami Hong Hua 3-10g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, opens the channels, unblocks menstruation and alleviates pain.
With Tao Ren, invigorates the Blood for all types of Blood Stagnation such as dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, swollen painful sores and chest and abdominal pain.
Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 4-10g Breaks up Blood Stasis and invigorates Blood circulation.
Rx. Achyranthis Bidentatae Niu Xi 6-16g Invigorates the Blood, expels Blood Stasis. nourishes Liver and Kidney Yin, clears Damp-Heat in the Lower Jiao.
Rx. Stephaniae Tetrandrae Han Fang Ji 3-12g Promotes urination, reduces edema especially in the lower body, expels Wind-Dampness and alleviates pain.
Rx. Clematidis Wei Ling Xian 3-16g Dispels Wind-Dampness, unblocks the channels and alleviates pain.
With Niu Xi, for Wind-Damp Bi causing joint pain (especially in the lower joints).
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 3-6g Moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.

  • Pain, swelling and obvious tenderness in the superficial veins along the limbs or the thoracoepigastric walls

  • Maybe drawing pain down internal aspect of arm (especially left arm)
