Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang   Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Cx. Moutan Mu Dan Pi 6-12g Clears Heat, cools and harmonizes the Blood, invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, drains pus and reduces swelling.
Sargassum Hai Zao 6-16g Reduces Phlegm and softens areas of hardness.
With Ku Bu, for goiter and scrofula.
Bul. Fritillariae Thunbergii Zhe Bei Mu 6-12g Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm and dissipates nodules.
With Lian Qiao, clears Heat toxin, transforms turbid Phlegm, opens Stagnation and disperses clumped swellings to treat scrofula and goiter from Phlegm-Fire.
Thallus Eckloniae Kun Bu 6-15g Resolves Phlegm and softens Phlegm nodules.
Rx. Bupleuri Chai Hu 6-12g Spreads Liver Qi, relieves Stagnation, disperses Wind-Heat and resolves Phlegm and congestion.
Spica Prunellae Xia Ku Cao 6-18g Clears Liver Fire, clears Hot Phlegm and dissipates nodules.
With Chai Hu, for neck nodules due to Liver Qi Stagnation.
with Zhe Bei Mu, cools and relieves toxicity to disperse and transform Phlegm and treat goiter, scrofula and swollen or inflamed lymph glands.
Bombyx Batryticatus Jiang Can 6-10g Transforms Phlegm, softens hardness, eliminates toxins and dissipates nodules.
Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 6-15g Tonifies, invigorates and harmonizes the Blood, reduces swelling, expels pus, generates flesh and alleviates pain.
Fr. Forsythiae Lian Qiao 6-30g Clears Heat, especially in the Upper Jiao, relieves toxicity, reduces abscesses and dissipates clumps.
