Per. Citri Reticulatae Chen Pi 3-9g Regulates Qi, adjusts the Middle, relieves the diaphragm Dries Dampness and transforms Phlegm.
With Zhi Ban Xia and Fu Ling, for coughing due to accumulation of Dampness and Phlegm.
Ginger-fried Rz. Pinelliae Preparatum Jiang Ban Xia 3-15g Transforms Phlegm, descends Qi and alleviates nausea, for either Phlegm and thin mucus from Spleen Deficiency or Cold-Phlegm causing coughing and rebellious Qi.
With Chen Pi, for a productive cough and a stifling sensation in the chest due to Phlegm-Damp Obstruction or Spleen Qi Deficiency.
With Fu Ling, for Phlegm, thin mucus and turbid Dampness.
Poria Fu Ling 9-18g Promotes urination, leaches out Dampness and strengthens the Spleen.
With Zhu Ling and Ze Xie, strengthens its ability to promote urination and leach out Dampness.
With Zhi Ban Xia and Chen Pi, for nausea, vomiting, chest fullness and distention and anorexia due to congested fluids.
Polyporus Zhu Ling 5-18g Promotes urination and leaches out Dampness.
With Fu Ling, for Lin syndrome, scanty urine, edema, loose stools, vaginal discharge, jaundice, leg Qi and diarrhea.
with Ze Xie, drains Damp, unblocks and drains urinary pathways and drains Heat from the Bladder.
Ram. Cinnamomi Gui Zhi 9-15g Unblocks Yang, transforms Qi and thin mucus, warms the Middle and directs Turbid Yin downward.
With Fu Ling, unblocks Yang and facilitates the removal of congested fluids associated with Yang Deficiency edema.
Fr. Aurantii Immaturus Zhi Shi 3-10g Breaks up Stagnant Qi, reduces accumulation, descends Qi, transforms Phlegm and reduces distention.
With Chen Pi, strengthens the Middle Jiao.
Rz. Arisaematis Preparata Zhi Tian Nan Xing 3-10g Dries Dampness and expels Phlegm.
With Chen Pi, Zhi Shi and Zhi Ban Xia, for Phlegm-Dampness Obstruction that will not dissipate with fainting from Wind-stroke, coughing with copious sputum, a cold upper back, a stifling sensation in the chest and a thick, gummy nasal discharge.
Rz. Alismatis Ze Xie 4.5-16g Promotes urination, leaches out Dampness and settles Ministerial Fire in the Kidneys by draining Damp-Heat from the lower Jiao.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for Turbid Dampness in the Middle Jiao causing epigastric and abdominal distention.
With Fu Ling, facilitates the removal of water and leaches out Dampness to treat stagnant water and Dampness leading to edema, jaundice, diarrhea, Milky Lin, and scanty, difficult urination with abdominal distention.
With Fu Ling and Zhu Ling, for generalized edema.
Hb. Leonuri Yi Mu Cao 9-60g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Stasis, regulates menstruation, promotes urination and reduces swelling and edema.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 1.5-14g Tonifies the Spleen and augments Qi, resolves Phlegm, moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs and guides the herbs to all twelve channels.
