With Tao Ren and Hong Hua, for amenorrhea, pain, swelling and other symptoms associated with Blood Stasis.
With Xiang Fu, tonifies the Blood and moves Qi.
Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 4-10g Breaks up Blood Stasis and invigorates Blood circulation.
Rz. Chuanxiong Chuan Xiong 3-10g Invigorates the Blood, promotes the movement of Qi, expels Wind and alleviates pain.
With Xiang Fu, for Qi Stagnation combined with Blood Stasis.
With Dang Gui, harmonizes, nourishes and invigorates the Blood and disperses Blood Stasis.
With Dang Gui, Tao Ren and Hong Hua, for pain due to trauma.
Flos Carthami Hong Hua 3-10g Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood Stasis, opens the channels, unblocks menstruation and alleviates pain.

Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, Nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
Rz. Corydalis Yan Hu Suo 3-12g Invigorates the Blood, circulates Qi and stops pain.
With Chuan Xiong, for body aches and headaches due to Blood Stagnation.
Fr. Toosendan Chuan Lian Zi 3-15g Dredges Liver Qi, releases Stagnation, stops pain and conducts Heat out from below.
With Yan Hu Suo, for intermittent epigastric and hypochondriac pain, hernia pain or menstrual pain with irritability due to Liver Stagnation with Heat.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Nerve pain which may be very severe and may continue after disappearance of the papules
  • Occurs along the nerve routes, usually of the neck, intercostals, abdomen, lower back or extremities
  • Facial color dark and dull
  • Emaciation
  • Sides and ribs distended on both sides (maybe with sharp pain)
  • Enlargement of Liver and Spleen
  • Suffocating sensation in chest
  • Tendency to sigh
  • Melancholy
  • Depression
  • Irritability
  • Inappropriate anger
