Ram. Cinnamomi Gui Zhi 4-9g Releases the exterior, assists the Yang, adjusts the Ying and Wei, releases the muscle layer, warms the channels and collaterals to relieve pain, warms the Middle and directs Turbid Yin downward.
With Bai Shao, harmonizes the Ying and Wei and warms and tonifies the Middle Jiao.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao 6-18g Nourishes Blood, astringes Yin and adjusts the Ying and Wei.
With Sheng Jiang, alleviates epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting by strengthening the Spleen and adjusts the Ying and Wei for treatment of Tai Yang Zhong Feng.
With Gan Cao, stops abdominal pain and spasms.
With Gui Zhi, Sheng Jiang and Da Zao, for Wind-Cold with Deficiency and perspiration.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 3-9g Helps release the exterior, treats nausea and vomiting, adjusts the Ying and Wei to normalize the flow of Qi at the center and strengthens the spreading and mobilizing actions of the other herbs.
With Zhi Gan Cao, Harmonizes and regulates the Spleen and Stomach.
With Da Zao, benefits the Middle Qi.
With Gui Zhi, warms and dispels thin mucus in the Stomach with nausea, hiccup, Stomach pain, acid reflux or vomiting of clear fluid .
Fr. Jujube Da Zao 3-12g Tonifies the Spleen and Stomach, augments Qi and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
With Bai Shao, nourishes and harmonizes the Ying and Blood.
With Gan Cao, tonifies the Middle Jiao and harmonizes.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata Zhi Gan Cao 2-6g Tonifies the Spleen, augments Qi, moderates spasms, alleviates pain and moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
