Hb. Menthae Bo He 3-6g Disperses Wind-Heat, cools and clears the head and eyes and benefits the throat.
With Xia Ku Cao, for inflammation of the eyes and scrofula.
Sm. Cassiae Jue Ming Zi 9-15g Clears Liver Heat clears vision, benefits the eyes, expels Wind-Heat, calms the Liver, anchors Yang, moistens the Intestines, unblocks the bowels and reduces blood pressure and serum cholesterol.
With Xia Ku Cao, for redness, pain and swelling of the eyes, abnormal tearing, photophobia, headache and dizziness due to Liver Fire, especially eye pain worse at night due to Liver Yang Rising.
Sm. Plantaginis Che Qian Zi 4-9g Promotes urination, stops diarrhea, clears Heat and clears eyes.
Fr. Aurantii Zhi Ke 3-9g Promotes the movement of Qi, reduces distention and pressure, resolves hardenings, removes stagnated food and disperses Heat.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Preparata Zhi Gan Cao 3-6g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and moderates and harmonizes the properties of other herbs.
Hb. Pteris Feng Wei Cao 9-18g Removes Heat, promotes diuresis, cools Blood and controls diarrhea.
Hb. Mesonae Xian Cao 30-60g Clears Summerheat, quenches thirst, and removes Heat toxin.
Fr. Momordicae Luo Han Guo 9-15g Moistens and cools the Lungs.
Rx. et Rz. Rhei Da Huang 3-12g Drains Heat, purges accumulations, drains Damp-Heat, cools the Blood, activates Blood, dispels Blood Stasis and reduces Fire toxicity.
Hb. Moslae Xiang Ru 3-10g Releases the exterior, expels Summerheat, transforms Dampness, harmonizes the Spleen and Stomach, promotes urination and reduces edema.
