POINT: ST-11 (STOMACH-11)

LOCATION:

  • At the root of the neck, superior to the medial end of the clavicle, directly below, ST-9 Renying, in the depression between the sternal and clavicular heads of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.
  • At the superior border of the sternal extremity of the clavicle, between the sternal and clavicular heads of the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

NEEDLING:

  • Perpendicular insertion 0.3 to 0.5 cun.
  • Caution: deep insertion may puncture the Lung.
  • Moxibustion is applicable.
