CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • This herb is slightly toxic. Use with caution.
  • Avoid over dosage. It may cause dizziness, vomiting, dyspepsia, numbness of the extremities and tremors.

  • Concurrent use with diuretics such as chlorothiazide, hydrochlorothiazide, furosimide (Lasix), bumetanide (Bumex) and torsemide (Demadex) may lead to increased elimination of water and electrolytes.

Itching eyes.

 

 

  1. It benefits the eyes by tonifying Liver Yin and and cooling Liver Heat.
  2. It enters the Liver channel at the Qi and Blood levels. Sweetness tonifies the Blood and coldness cools Heat.
  3. It is often used for gradual loss of sight, blurred vision and visual obstruction.
  4. It moistens Liver Dryness.
  5. This herb can be used as a pillow.
  6. Both Mi Meng Hua and Flos Eriocauli Gu Jing Cao expel Wind, and cool Heat, benefit the eyes and reduce superficial visual obstruction. they are often combined to treat eye disorders. Gu Jing Cao is acrid, sweet, cool and enters the Liver and Stomach channels. It is good for eye problems and for headache and toothache due to Wind. Mi Ming Hua is sweet, cold, and also enters the Liver channel. Its rising and dispersing nature is not as strong as Gu Jing Cao. It excels at simultaneously cooling Liver Heat, tonifying Liver Blood and moistening Liver Dryness. I can be used for all types of eye problems.
  7. Both Mi Meng Hua and Hb. Celosiae Qing Xiang Zi cool the Liver, improve vision and reduce superficial visual obstructions. Mi Meng Hua nourishes Liver Blood to tonify and clear Heat. Qing Xiang Zi is bitter , cold and has a sinking nature, and is therefore only appropriate for Liver Fire and Heat toxin flushing the eyes.
