CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated for those with loose stools or coughing from Hot Phlegm in the Lungs.
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy.
  • Do not eat mung beans with this herb.
  • Eating too much of this herb excessively lubricates the Intestines.
INCOMPATIBILITIES
  • The outer peel is incompatible with Sm. Phaseoli Radiati Lu Dou.

  1. This herb is non-toxic and does not harm the Stomach Qi. It also has a slight laxative effect. These qualities make it an important anthelmintic.
  2. This herb moderates pain while it kills parasites.
  3. It is most effective eaten alone after dry-frying.
  4. It can be used alone to kill tapeworm proglottid - eat seven seeds a day for seven days.
  5. Take 30 to 40 seeds in the morning on an empty stomach daily until hookworms are expelled from the body.
  6. Both Fei Zi Shi and Fr. Quisqualis Shi Jun Zi are sweet, relatively nontoxic, do not injure the Spleen while killing parasites and both contain fatty oils to lubricate the Intestines. Shi Jun Zi is better at expelling roundworms. It moistens the Lungs, stops cough, tonifies the Spleen, augments the Stomach to help digestion and treats childhood nutritional impairment. Fei Zi is better at expelling hookworms and pinworms, moistens the Lungs and stops cough.
  7. Dry-fried Torreya Seeds Chao Fei Zi strengthens the Spleen, digests Food Stagnation and treats childhood nutritional impairment while killing parasites.
