Hb. Ephedrae Ma Huang 6-18g Induces sweating, releases the exterior, disseminates and facilitates Lung Qi, calms wheezing, stops coughing, promotes urination, reduces edema and warms and disperses Cold pathogens.
With Shi Gao for Wind-edema.
Gypsum Fibrosum Shi Gao 8-48g Clears Excess Heat from the Lungs.
With Sheng Jiang, decreases muscular swelling.
Rz. Zingiberis Recens Sheng Jiang 3-9g Releases the exterior, disperses Cold, warms the Lungs and stops cough.
with Da Zao for External Wind-Cold.
Rz. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 2-6g Moistens the Lungs, resolves Phlegm, stops cough and moderates and harmonizes the properties of other herbs.
Fr. Zizyphi Jujube Da Zao 3-5g Moderates and harmonizes the harsh properties of other herbs.
