Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-15g Tonifies Blood, invigorates and harmonizes Blood, disperses Cold and moistens the Intestines.
 With Dan Shen, for pain due to Blood Stasis in the extremities.
With Bai Shao, regulates and harmonizes Qi and Blood.
Rx. Salviae Miltiorrhizae Dan Shen 3-15g Activates Blood, breaks up Blood Stasis, clears Heat, and cools and nourishes the Blood.
Rx. Rehmanniae Sheng Di Huang 5-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood, nourishes Yin and generates fluids.
With Xuan Shen, and Mai Men Dong, for dry throat, irritability, a red tongue and a fast thready pulse due to Devastated Yin with Blazing Fire, excessive thirst, irritability, and a scarlet tongue due to Ying Stage Heat, swelling of the throat and lymph nodes and constipation due to Excess Heat with Yin Deficiency.
 With Bai Shao, for Blood Deficiency Heat.
Cx. Dictamni Bai Xian Pi 4-15g Clears Heat, resolves Fire-toxicity, expels Wind, dries Dampness, clears Damp-Heat and stops itching.
Rx. Scrophularia Xuan Shen 7-30g Clears Heat, cools the Blood and nourishes Yin.
With Sheng Di Huang and Mai Men Dong, for constipation due to Dryness.
Rx. Ophiopogonis Mai Men Dong 6-15g

Moistens the Lung, nourishes Stomach Yin, generates fluids, clears the Heart, eliminates irritability and moistens Intestines.
With Sheng Di Huang and Xuan Shen, for thirst, constipation, irritability and low-grade fever due to Stomach Yin Deficiency in the aftermath of warm febrile disease where to the fluids have been injured.
Sm. Persicae Tao Ren 4.5-10g Dispels Blood Stasis, invigorates Blood circulation and moistens Intestines.
Rx. Paeoniae Alba Bai Shao Yao 6-30g Nourishes Blood and astringes Yin.
With Dang Gui, nourishes Yin and Blood.
Rx. Polygoni Multiflori He Shou Wu 9-30g Tonifies the Liver and Kidneys, nourishes Blood, nourishes and astringes Jing - stops leakage, relieves Fire Toxin and moistens the Intestines.

CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

  • Small coin sized pale red lesions located on the scalp, body, extremities and other areas
  • There is a tightly covered scale
  • Removing the scale reveals a light pink shining membrane
  • Progress of disease is slow
  • New lesions appear sporadically
  • Beneath the membrane are petachiae
  • Chronic patients may see it in any season
  • The lesions heal without scarring
  • There may be nail involvement with stippling or pitting of the nail plate
  • Rarely presents as diffuse redness of the skin covered by fine scales
  • Light-headedness
  • Pallor
  • T: Pale
  • C: Thin white
