Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen 3g Tonifies Qi and strengthens the Spleen and Stomach.
With Bai Zhu, tonifies the transformation and transportation functions of the Spleen.
With Bai Zhu, Gan Cao and Fu Ling for Spleen and Stomach Deficiency with diarrhea, abdominal distention and fatigue.
Rz. Atractylodes Macrocephalae Bai Zhu 3g Tonifies Qi, strengthens the Spleen and dries Dampness.
With Huang Qi for Spleen Qi Deficiency with weakness, lassitude and loose stools.
With Fu Ling and Gan Cao, for Spleen and Stomach Qi Deficiency.
Rx. Glycyrrhizae Gan Cao 1-2g Tonifies Qi, strengthens the Spleen, clears Heat, relieves Fire toxicity and harmonizes.
With Bai Zhi for pain associated with ulcers.
With Jie Geng, for pain and swelling of the throat.

Rx. Angelicae Sinensis Dang Gui 3-5g Nourishes Blood, reduces swelling, expels pus and generates flesh.
With Huang Qi for ulcerated abscesses with insufficient drainage or draining only a clear thin discharge.
With Bai Shao, regulates and harmonizes Qi and Blood and treats Blood Deficiency Heat.
With Chuan Xiong, harmonizes, nourishes and invigorates the Blood and disperses Blood Stasis.
with Jin Yin Hua, reduces obstruction and toxicity for swollen, painful sores and necrosis of surrounding tissue.

With Gan Cao disseminates Lung Qi, expels Phlegm, resolves toxicity, and expels pus for productive cough with hoarseness, pain and swelling of the throat due to Wind-Heat.
Rx. Astragali Huang Qi 1.5-3g Tonifies Qi and Blood, nourishes the muscles, tonifies the Spleen, promotes the discharge of pus and generates flesh.
With Bai Zhu, for Spleen Qi Deficiency with weakness, lassitude and loose stools. With Dang Gui , for ulcerated abscesses with insufficient drainage or draining only a clear thin discharge.
With Ren Shen, for Qi Deficiency with general debility, anorexia, fatigue, tired extremities and spontaneous sweat.
Sp. Gleditsiae Zao Jiao Ci 2g Dispels Phlegm, dissipates Stagnation, reduces swelling and aids suppuration.
With Bai Zhi, for difficulty discharging pus from abscesses.
Poria Fu Ling 3-5g Tonifies Qi, strengthens the Spleen and transforms Phlegm.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Contraindicated during pregnancy because it contains Sp. Gleditsiae Zao Jiao Ci.

For breast abscesses: For markedly Spleen Deficient patients:
+ Sm. Vaccariae Wang Bu Liu Xing - Rx. Angelicae Dahuricae Bai Zhi
+ Hb. Taraxaci Pu Gong Ying + Twice as much Rx. Ginseng Ren Shen
+ Fr. Liquidamberis Lu Lu Tong
For flat, broad swellings, reduced food intake, bland taste, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea due to Middle Jiao Yang Deficiency:
For sores that are slowly oozing pus due to Yang Deficiency:

+ Cx. Cinnamomi Rou Gui + Rz. Zingiberis Preparata Pao Jiang
For a patient who has a perforated sore who suffers from Stagnation and Ying Qi Deficiency and is in a great deal of pain:
