With Huang Lian, drains pathogenic Heat from the Upper and Middle Jiaos for high fever, redness, swelling and pain of the head and face, dry mouth, parched throat, ulcerations of the mouth and tongue, epistaxis, rashes and irritability in warm-febrile disease and explosive diarrhea and dysentery with burning pain in the anus or fitted, filthy stools and abdominal pain.
Rz. Coptidis Huang Lian 3-6g Drains Fire, relieves toxicity, clears Heat and drains Dampness for Damp-Heat in the Stomach and Intestines.
With Zhi Ban Xia, for Cold and Heat in the Middle Jiao with abdominal fullness, nausea and vomiting.
Poria Fu Ling 3-6g Promotes urination, leaches out Dampness, strengthens the Spleen, harmonizes the Middle Jiao and transforms Phlegm.
With Zhi Ban Xia expels Phlegm and stops nausea and vomiting, hiccups, coughs with clear, profuse Phlegm and loose and watery stools .
With Zhi Ban Xia and Chen Pi for congested fluids with vomiting, nausea, chest distention and anorexia.
